Raidho Rune: meaning and message

Raidho (ᚱ) is the fifth rune of the Elder Futhark and the rune of the journey and ordered movement. It does not speak only of traveling: it speaks of advancing with rhythm, direction, and purpose, like the wheel that turns because it is well mounted on its axle. It is the rune of the right road walked at the right time.

Its name comes from the Proto-Germanic *raidō, "ride" or "cart" (related to the English ride). For the Norse peoples, traveling was a serious matter: it demanded preparation, sustained rhythm, and the ability to read the terrain. Raidho condenses all of that: the progress that comes when effort and course go hand in hand.

Meaning of Raidho
