Ansuz Rune: meaning and message

Ansuz (ᚨ) is the fourth rune of the Elder Futhark and the rune of the word and communication. It is consecrated to Odin, the god who hung for nine nights from the ash tree Yggdrasil to win the secret of the runes. That is why Ansuz speaks of messages, inspiration, wise counsel, and everything that comes through language.

Its name comes from the Proto-Germanic *ansuz, "god" or "divinity" (the same root as the Æsir, the family of gods of Odin and Thor). It is the rune of the breath that turns into the spoken word: when it appears, the universe has something to tell you, and it usually tells you through someone's mouth.

Meaning of Ansuz

Ansuz announces revealing information on its way. Its keywords are:
